Proprietor of WordFix, Louise Scahill, provides copyediting, structural (substantive) editing and proofreading services, with a focus on plain English, to a range of clients, including businesses and professionals, chiefly in the areas of banking, finance, tax, accounting, law, health/medicine and government and corporate policy.

Experience and professional affiliations

Louise is an Accredited Editor with the Institute of Professional Editors Limited (IPEd) and a Professional Member of the Society of Editors (NSW). Louise is also a Fellow of FINSIA – the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (formerly the Securities Institute of Australia).

Louise’s editing career spans nearly 20 years, comprising 11 years as a self-employed editor, six years as the regional editor and content manager for a global financial data publisher, and three years as an editor for a leading legal publisher.
